The Zika virus has spread far from South America, where the current outbreak began. It's been found here in the United States and also in Southeast Asia. Singapore has confirmed more than 150 cases of Zika, now including a pregnant woman. The U.S. is one of a growing number of countries warning expectant mothers not to visit Singapore.
A media mogul and former host of The Apprentice Indonesia founded the Java Jazz Festival 12 years ago as a way to bring tourists back to Indonesia after a terrorist attack, earthquake and tsunami. Coronavirus has spread across China and to at least 16 countries globally, including Thailand, France, the US and Australia. More than 130 people have died in China and close to 6,000 have been infected.

India's parliament has passed a bill which offers amnesty to non-Muslim illegal immigrants from three neighboring countries. The government, led by the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), says this will give sanctuary to people fleeing religious persecution. Critics say the bill is part of a BJP agenda to marginalize Muslims.

It is seeking a financial lifeline to avoid collapse and, on Thursday, grounded 10 planes over unpaid fees to leasing firms.

They threw flowers and cheered on the FDNY searching for the 23-year-old man who was on a date at a sushi restaurant where the blast happened. However, their eyes filled with tears after they received a phone call. They then piled into an unmarked car and headed to the medical examiner's office.
